Fuzion's Liquor License Permanently Revoked

On Thursday afternoon, the Alcohol Beverage Board of St. Mary’s County permanently revoked the liquor license for the Hot Noodle restaurant and Fuzion Lounge, located in San Souci Plaza in California.

David Tran, co-owner of the restaurant and after-hours nightclub, appeared before the board during its monthly meeting to face four charges of violating local regulations.

The charges against the bar stem from fore code violations ordered by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office and a St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s operation that revealed female entertainers getting a little too risqué for St. Mary’s County liquor laws.

The Alcohol Board was shown footage of two girls dancing and allegedly simulating sex acts in a cage inside the bar.

Tran’s lawyer, Shane Mattingly, argued the dancers did not violate local regulations outlawing sex, but the Board’s lawyer, Joann Wood, saidsaid the cage-dancing act included sexual "fondling".

The bar’s owners also possibly still face criminal charges for ignoring Fire Marshal’s orders to not conduct business until proper fire sprinklers are installed.

Well I'm glad this after hours bar is gone. In a business, food is 90% profit and beer 10% profit. I could never have lunch there again!!!, thinking OMG where have my noodles been , who's been in my noodles!!"dont touch my spicy noodles" LOL

It's really a shame that the owners went ovet the top with the place. When they first opened and concentrated on food and a nice atmosphere, the food was good and the place was in good shape. Then the "nightclub" phase started and they let the building deteriorate and I think it became one big party for them and they lost sight of what they once had. Maybe they will use this as a lesson learned and move on to other things.

These folks always acted like arrogant jerks in the liquor board meetings, and finally got what they deserve. Go peddle your vices somewhere else and stop pillaging our community.

It is probably good they are shutting this place down. It can be hard enough keeping up with patrons of drinking establishments that get out of hand, but when on top of that the police and other agency have to constantly monitor the establishment itself then it needs to go. The police have enough on their hands these days without having to bar sit.

Revoking a liquor license would never happen in Calvert County.

As long as they turn a profit, anything goes! Our Sheriff has the attitude, "Keep 'em happy and movin'".

Do you know he won't ticket anyone with an open container? You folks from St. Mary's are lucky!
