Assault and Pot Arrest
On April 11, Deputy Timothy Reese responded to a residence for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Salman Mohammad Nasrullah, 20 of Callaway assaulted the victim by grabbing, pushing and striking her in the face. Salman Nasrullah was arrested for the assault. Search incident to the arrest revealed a small glass pipe with suspected burnt marijuana. Salman Nasrullah was charged with second degree assault, possession of a controlled dangerous substance – marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
Marijuana Toss
On April 12, at approximately 12:03 a.m. Deputy Michael George conducted a traffic stop on Point Lookout Road in Great Mills. As the vehicle was stopping, Deputy George observed the right back passenger, later identified as Michael Joseph Miles 2nd, 20 of California, Maryland throw a clear plastic baggie outside the rear passenger window. Once the vehicle came to a complete stop Deputy George walked to the area where the baggie was thrown and located it laying in the grass next to the shoulder of the roadway. The baggie contained suspected marijuana. Michael Joseph Miles 2nd was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Violation of Peace Order
On Jan. 22, a Peace Order was granted against Joshua Antoine Miles, 19 Lexington Park. The Peace Order stated Joshua Miles was not to assault the petitioner and was still in effect on April 12, 2008. The petitioner/victim of the Peace Order was at Joshua Antoine Miles’ residence on April 12, 2008. Joshua Miles began arguing with the victim at which time Joshua Miles struck the victim in the face. Joshua Miles was arrested and charged with assault and violation of a Peace Order.
Crash Reveals Stolen Tags on Vehicle
On April 13, at approximately 9:25 am Senior Deputy Mark Porter responded to a motor vehicle accident on Budd’s Creek Road and Bayside Road in Clements, Maryland. Deputy Porter made contact with Mario Dwight Bowman 25 of Mechanicsville, Maryland the driver involved in the single vehicle accident. Mario Bowman was operating a 2001 Ford Explorer bearing Maryland registration, 256M937. A motor vehicle computer check of the registration revealed the tags 256M937 were reported stolen on Feb. 24,. Further check of the 2001 Ford Explorer revealed the vehicle was not currently registered. After being transported to the hospital and treated, Mario Dwight Bowman was arrested and charged with theft under $500 and also citied with corresponding motor vehicle traffic citations.
Passenger with Pot
On Thursday, April 10, at 2:09 pm, Brian Keith Stapleton, 20, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Stapleton was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for an equipment violation. When contact was made with the occupants a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Stapleton was found to be in possession of two baggies of Marijuana and a digital scale with Marijuana residence. Stapleton was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
Concealed Deadly Weapon
On Thursday, April 10, at 10:35 pm, Oscar Richard Tyer, Jr., of Bushwood was arrested to TFC L. Nims for possession of a concealed deadly weapon. Tyer was operating a Red GMC Yukon when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit on Route 5 south of Route 243 in Leonardtown. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with Tyer and an odor of Marijuana was emanating inside the vehicle. Tyer was found to be in possession of an ASP Baton, concealed in the vehicle. A routine check through MVA revealed Tyer’s driving privileges were suspended in Maryland. Tyer was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
No Seatbelt Stop, Pot Arrest
On Friday, April 11, at 5:52 pm, Daniel Jason Russell, 29, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson for possession of Marijuana. Russell was operating a red Ford Bronco on Flora Corner Road in Mechanicsville when he was stopped for not being restrained by his seatbelt. A moderate odor of Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Russell was found to be in possession of a baggie of marijuana. Russell was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and detained pending a bond review.
Equipment Stop, Pot Arrest
On Saturday, April 12, at 9 p.m., Stephon Raysean White, 23, and Christian Desean White, 20, both of Lexington Park were arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson for possession of Marijuana. Stephon White was operating a silver Honda Civic on Route 246 in the area of S. Essex Drive in Lexington Park when he was stopped for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with the driver and a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Stephon White and Christian White were found to be in possession of Marijuana cigarettes and were taken into custody. They were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where they were detained pending a bond review.
