Tornado Watch For Southern Maryland

As of 8:10 p.m. the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunder storm and tornado watch for Southern Maryland. A quarter- to half-inch of quick rain is expected and conditions are right for tornado formation. Locally, heavy rainfall is expected to occur by midnight, with Southern Maryland on target to receive the brunt of the approaching storm. Rivers and streams may rise and cause minor flooding in some areas. |
