The Hughesville Running Club is proud to present the Inaugural Hughesville 10K/Festival.

On Saturday, Oct. 18 at 8:15 a.m. a 1K Kids' Fun Run will kick off the event. Starting at 8:30 a.m., the 10K and 5K Runs will take place. Pre-registration for these events is required.  The runs will take place through the village and will include some scenic by-ways through Hughesville.

Following the awards ceremony, the festival will kick into high gear with a D.J., moonbounce, live entertainment, local artists, crafters and local businesses.

The admission cost is a non-perishable, canned good to be donated to the Southern Maryland Food Bank.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the Hughesville revitalization plan, showcase Hughesville businesses, and have county planning staff on hand to discuss development and infill possibilities within the village core.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to bring the community together to meet and enjoy the day with fellow neighbors and businesses.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and the Hughesville Baseball Association.
