Batter Up for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maryland

This weekend, in addition to the grand gala atmosphere at Regency Furniture Stadium and the home-opening weekend of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, Big Brother Big Sisters of Southern Maryland is offering a unique experience: A wine tasting at the new ballpark.

Concerned Citizens are encouraged to join in the fun with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs for the Big Red, White and Blue wine tasting on Sunday, May 4, at the new Regency Furniture Stadium.

The wine tasting event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Regency Furniture Stadium following the Blue Crabs baseball game at 2:05 p.m.

Participants will enjoy international wines, culinary stations, live and silent auctions and the company of local celebrities. To purchase tickets visit wine.bbbssomd.org. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maryland, Inc is a private non-profit organization serving youth in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties by providing one-to-one mentors. Mentoring services are part of a proven program model designed to meet the changing needs of today’s youth.

Programs enable youth who may be at a greater risk or social and/or academic failures to make positive life choices. Youth participants are most often referred by parents, a teachers or counselors because they will benefit from the guidance and friendship of a consistent role model or mentor.
