Pet of the Week Home

Spike

Spike says, "Hola Amigos"! Friendly, affectionate Chihuahua! Spike is being surrendered by his owner due to his owner's health status. He is no longer able to provide the necessary care to ensure Spike's well being. It is sad, but we have promised him we would find Spike a loving home to live out the rest of his life, and he has alot of life left. Spike weighs a whole 6 1/2 pounds. Spike loves to go for walks, and walks very well on a leash. Spike loves to play with toys but mostly enjoys relaxing in a human's lap! Spike is a very affectionate and playful dog. He gets along with other dogs and cats. Spike is crate trained, but needs some work on house training. We believe if he has a schedule and an owner that can reward him for good behavior, he will learn quickly. Spike loves to go for car rides. Ideally, I am looking for a home with a fenced in yard, and a doggie door would be ideal. A strict commitment to leash walking will be considered. Spike will not be adopted to homes with children under 12 due to his size. Spike is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and in good health.
