The St. Mary’s County Department of Economic & Community Development has released the 2012 Technology Handbook for St. Mary’s County.

The St. Mary’s County Department of Economic & Community Development recently held its annual Technology Handbook for St. Mary’s County cover art contest for the 2012 edition. The contest, sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership, attracted many entries. The winner, George Adamson, a junior at Leonardtown High School and currently attending the James A. Forrest Technology Center, received a $500 prize.

Adamson is in his second year in the Graphic Communications program. Upon graduation he plans to attend College of Southern Maryland and major in graphic communications and design. He will be recognized on March 6 by the St. Mary’s Board of County Commissioners when the 2012 Technology Handbook is officially unveiled.

Artists were required to reside or be employed in St. Mary’s County to participate; submissions were also received from the graphics communications students at the James A. Forrest Career & Technology Center.
