UPDATE: The road is now open.
CALIFORNIA, Md. — We are receiving reports of an accident involving a single vehicle that struck a pole.
At approximately 9:23 p.m. on May 20, crews were dispatched to the scene of an accident on Three Notch Road in the area of Old Rolling Road, which allegedly caught a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, fire departments quickly established that call out was incorrect, as the vehicle had struck a pole and didn’t have any evidence of fire damage.
An advisory was put out soon after that southbound Route 235 at Old Rolling Road, in California is partially closed due to a vehicle accident. Drivers are advised to use caution in the area or take an alternate route.
The single patent who was involved suffered injuries to their hand and wrist, and were transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
