At 2:22 p.m. Friday, Dunkirk Volunteer Firefighters responded to a reported vehicle fire on Flint Hill Road, Owings.
A team of six firefighters put the fire out within 5 minutes, but the vehicle, a 2002 Cadillac owned by Charles Dawson, was a total loss.
Maryland Deputy State Fire Marshal John Nelson reports the fire was intentionally set in the passenger compartment by igniting combustible materials. The car was completely destroyed.
