Cpl. Andrew Hunt, named the Correctional Officer of the Quarter

WALDORF, Md. – Please join us in congratulating Cpl. Andrew Hunt, who was named the Correctional Officer of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2021! He was nominated by Sgt. Dustin Hendricks who said, “It is widely known throughout the Corrections Division that Andrew is a selfless officer. He continuously puts the needs of his co-workers before his own and is constantly thinking of ways to improve safety and security for the division and fellow officers.”

Cpl. Hunt was recognized for his outstanding leadership skills, specifically relating to training, enhancing safety and security, and for being an overall great team player. Director Brandon Foster said, “Andrew has a great work ethic and he’s a valuable member of the detention center. He is always looking at ways to train and enhance operations.” Sheriff Berry said the agency can’t be a success without successful individuals.
