LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – A child pedestrian flown out after being struck by a vehicle in Lexington Park.
On March 9, 2021, at approximately 3:01 p.m., emergency units responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Great Mills Rd. in the area of Carver School Blvd.
Units arrived to the scene to find a truck and pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian struck is an 11 year old child. Units on the scene requested MEDEVAC, the landing zone was at Millison Plaza. MSP Trooper 7 arrived and transported the patient to a local children’s trauma center.
St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
