In honor of St. Francis, patron saint of animals, Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Mary’s City will be holding a pet blessing on October 5, 2014. An abbreviated morning prayer service will be held outdoors at 10:30 a.m. (pets welcome), followed by the pet blessing at 11 a.m.
In addition to bringing pets, please bring dog and cat food donations for the St. Mary’s County Pet Food Pantry. For a small donation, pet portraits will be available. Donations will help the St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League to continue to find loving homes for homeless animals in our local area.
