Leonardtown, MD — Another move towards a new YMCA in St. Mary’s County.

 On Tuesday, September 10, 2019 the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County appointed an exploratory committee to begin looking into community needs and exploring YMCA programs and services.

The committee will also work at identifying potential locations for a YMCA facility and decide what types of amenities the facility should have.

The committee will also be responsible for determining how much in funds are likely to be raised for such a project.

After they’ve explored all these topics, they’ll deliver an in-depth report to the Commissioners.
