Curtis Monroe Tabor, 84, of Ridge, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. He was born on December 16, 1936 in Coopers, WV and was the son of the late Clyde Monroe Tabor and Thelma Hayes Tabor.

Curtis grew up in a rural area where he was taught the value of hard work and dependability. He would begin working in a lumber yard as a sawyer and maintenance man at a young age for the Charlotte Hall Lumber Company. He took great pride in his dedication to his profession and safety of those he worked with.

He met the love of his life, Barbara Sipe and they were married on December 11, 1958. Together they have celebrated over sixty-three (63) years of marriage. They welcomed three children, Lori, Patti and Mike and raised a wonderful family.

An avid outdoorsman, Curtis enjoyed fishing and spending the day out on the bay. He considered a day with a hook in the water a great day. He enjoyed music, especially blue grass. He loved to play his fiddle and sing. He would tap his toe and encourage everyone to dance or sing along.

Whether you knew him as Curtis, Dad, Grandpa, or friend, you knew his commitment to his family. The legacy of honor, strength and hard-work he projected will be carried on and duplicated for generations. He will be missed by many, but none as much as his family.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Barbara Tabor of Ridge, MD; children, Lori Ann Tabor-Finch (John) of Mechanicsville, MD, Patricia Lynn Burns of Stewartstown, PA and Curtis Michael Tabor (Christie) of Columbia, MD; six (6) grandchildren and twenty (20) great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Frances Alderman (Jessie) of Huntingtown, MD and Betty Burton of Annapolis, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Thelma Tabor and brother Robert E. Tabor.
