At 12:21 a.m. Dec. 8, Calvert Sheriff’s Deputy DeFelice observed a vehicle pull out from Kyler Road in Huntingtown and skid sideways as it crossed the south bound lanes of Route 4 then continue to the northbound lanes and travel at speeds above 100 miles per hour.
Dep. DeFelice followed the vehicle and eventually made a traffic stop on Route 2.
The driver, later identified as Justin D. Smith, 20 of Sunderland, was charged with numerous traffic violations, driving while under the influence and possession of marijuana.
At 10:39 p.m. Dec. 8, Cpl. Moschetto conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Route 4 at the Fox Run Shopping Center in Prince Frederick.
The driver, later identified as Samuel J. O’Malley, 49 of Lusby, and lone passenger, Margaret E. Cannon, 47 also of Lusby, were both subsequently arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana.
At 11:05 p.m. Dec. 6, Deputy Bradley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of the parking lot of Lusby Town Square.
The driver, identified as Justin J. Scaparro, 20 of Lusby and the lone passenger, identified as Michael T. Schaefer, 20 also of Lusby, were both subsequently placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were each also issued a citation for possession of alcohol by a person under age 21.
At 12:45 a.m. Dec. 8, Deputy Morgan was on routine patrol on when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Town Square Drive in Lusby.
The driver, later identified as Shiraz L. Parker, 22 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested and charged.
