At 12:39 a.m. on February 7, on Rt. 260, in Chesapeake Beach, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
The operator, Della Mae Jones, 44, of Annapolis, was subsequently arrested for DUI.
Incident to arrest, a CDS smoking device was located in the vehicle and suspected crack-cocaine was located on the passenger, John Joseph Rice, 39, of Friendship. Mr. Rice was placed under arrest at that time for possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, the two were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
