On Dec. 14, at 8:26 p.m., Tpr. B.T. Wiesemann responded to the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department located at 46000 block of South Shangri La Drive in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance.
Upon arrival, contact was made with an off duty officer who had detained the suspect, Darrell Duane Jones, 31 of Lexington Park. The complainant advised Jones was intoxicated and wandered into the building during the departments Christmas party creating a disturbance. When asked to leave, Jones began cursing and acting beligerant.
Tpr. Wiesemann took custody of Jones and transported him to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.
This wasn’t the first brush with the law that night for Jones.
Earlier that evening, the same subject Darrell Duane Jones, created a disturbance in the Popeye’s Restaurant on Great Mills Road where he was attempting to kiss a male customer.
When police arrived on the scene, the victim had left the establishment. Authorities then advised Jones to leave the restaurant.
