At 12:15 a.m. on March 12, a vehicle traveling southbound on U.S. Rt. 301, north of MD Rt. 228, was stopped for the driver not wearing his seat belt.

Upon contact with the driver, Clark Alfred Calloway, 26 years, of Clinton, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath.

Mr. Calloway failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.

A search incident to arrest revealed two 8 inch blade knives.

Callaway was subsequently charged with two counts of carrying concealed deadly weapons.  He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
