Through the assistance of the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, Maryland State Police have obtained permission to release the name and photograph of a teenager who escaped from a state juvenile facility late Monday night.
Brian Christopher Becker, 16, is a white male, 5’ 11” tall, weighing 180 pounds. He is from Baltimore City. Becker was being held at the Victor Cullen Juvenile Detention Center in Sabillasville, Maryland. The facility is not far from the Pennsylvania border.
State Police from the Frederick Barracks were called to the Victor Cullen Center shortly after 10:30 p.m. on June 16.
Troopers were advised that Becker and a 14-year-old male assaulted a correctional officer, then scaled a razor wire fence surrounding the facility and fled on foot. The 14-year-old escapee was captured early Wednesday by troopers in Prince George’s County.
Maryland State Police initiated an immediate search with the assistance of Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputies. Helicopter and K-9 units assisted in the search throughout the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, but have not been able to locate Becker.
