while serving in Afghanistan, arrived in St. Mary’s County shortly after 10 a.m. this morning.
A police and fire-rescue motor brigade escorted Baumann to the Brinsfields-Echols Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown. Baumann’s funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11.
Those interested in showing support for the Baumann family during this time of grave loss are asked to bring flags and line the funeral procession route. The procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 to 11 a.m. and turn right, going north, on state Route 5.
Sgt. Baumann is survived by his mother, Cindy Lohman, of Great Mills; father, Robert Baumann, of Jeffersonville, Ind, and fiancée, Lauren Smith, of St. Mary’s City.
