Jane B. Schoolden, 47, of Welcome was fatally injured in an accident on MD-6 west of Mill Swamp Rd. on Thursday morning after her car overturned and struck a tree. The accident occured at 8:28 am. Maryland State Police cited a failure to drive in a single lane as the cause of the accident.
Schoolden was driving a 2003 Nissan 350Z. She was transported to Civista Medical Center in La Plata where she was pronounced dead by the injuries she received.
