HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department recently posted about a call the company responded to on September 25. 

At approximately 2:30 p.m. yesterday, first responders were called to a working house fire in Neeld Estates according to the department.

Units arrived to the 2800 block of Ridge Road and found the home heavily engulfed with flames. Engine 21 was sent to draft water from a nearby location for the fire ground, while other crews assisted on site.

All occupants made it out safely and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Units cleared and returned to quarters a few hours after dispatch. We will update with additional information that is provided after the fire has been looked at.
