LEONARDTOWN, Md. — On the Morning of August 3, first responders were called to the scene of a vehicle fire off of Point Lookout Road.
At approximately 8:47 a.m. yesterday, crews from the Second District (Valley Lee) Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 21000 block of Point Lookout Road for the reported fire. Upon arrival, the firefighters discovered a Chrysler vehicle fully engulfed in flames, but they would work quick to have it out in roughly 15 minutes.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office aided with traffic control and a preliminary investigation of the scene.
The incident, which occurred near Chingville Road, resulted in no injuries. It is unknown at this time what may have led to the fire.
