At 6:41 p.m. Friday, April 14, Bay District Volunteers, the Lexington Park Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad were dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Town Creek Drive.
According to BDVFD Fire Captain Jeffrey Bixby, Chief 3 with Sgt. Buhl riding shotgun arrived to find a 2-vehicle T-bone collision and informed fireboard that extrication would be required as well as requesting additional EMS response.
Squad 3 under the command of Lt. David Carroll arrived on scene and initiated extrication operations while LPVRS personnel provided patient care.
Other crews provided scene protection by advancing a charged hose.
The driver of the van was the only patient that required extrication.
A total of four patients were transported to St. Mary’s with an additional three signed refusals. All units cleared the scene by 7:47 p.m.
