Green Holly Elementary School achieved top energy savings for the month of January 2009, with a 19 percent reduction in electric consumption, compared to the month of January 2008.  They saved $700.

On March 6, the energy flag was presented to Mr. Paul Fancella, principal of Green Holly Elementary School, during the school’s morning announcements.  The flag will be flown at the school for approximately one month and will then be presented to the school that achieves this honor for the month of February.

Congratulations to Green Holly Elementary School on being named St. Mary’s County Public Schools’ “Top Energy Saver of the Month.”
