On Dec. 7, St. Mary’s Sheriff’s SDFC Pat Handy responded to 43000 Megan Lane, Leonardtown, for the reported burglary.

His investigation revealed the suspect, Joseph Wayne Bosse, 25, of Mechanicsville, banged on the victim’s front door and yelled that people were trying to kill him.

When a woman came to the door, the suspect barged in and grabbed the victim by the arm and attempted to pull her across the room, police say.

The victim was able to break away from the suspect and lock herself in a bathroom where she dialed 911.

SDFC Handy arrived and located the suspect hiding in another bathroom. He was placed under arrest.

A search by police revealed Bosse was in possession of cocaine. He was charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of Cocaine and transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
