Washington, DC – Today on Capitol Hill, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) met with the CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland, Joy Hill. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland, located in North Beach, Maryland, brings programs and services to children ages 5 to 18.

“I was pleased to welcome Joy to Capitol Hill today and to hear about the positive things they are doing at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland,” said Congressman Steny Hoyer. “As a proud Boys & Girls Clubs of America alumnus, I’ve been a strong advocate for the clubs in Congress. The work they are doing at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland – from after school mentoring programs and providing meals to leadership and team building in sports and recreation – is important to the children in Maryland’s Fifth District. I look forward to continuing to work with Joy and her staff, and to support their efforts to make a real impact in the lives of our children.”
