At 11:04 p.m. Oct. 11, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 2180 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery.

Investigation revealed a male suspect entered the business through an unlocked back door, grabbed an employee, brandished a knife and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers, including a K9 team, searched the area but the suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. He has a medium build and was wearing a dark gray hooded jacket, black pants, black Nike Shoes, a black mask and gloves.

No one was injured.
