At 4:33 p.m. Feb. 21, a vehicle traveling on Post Office Road at Barrington Drive was stopped for not having a front tag and an inoperable brake light.

Upon contact with the driver, Darcel Roscoe Darby, 25, of Fort Washington, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle by Trooper Jenkins.

A probable cause searched revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Darby was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
