On Thursday, Feb. 12 the Leonardtown High School Varsity Cheerleaders once again cheered their way to infamy by advancing to the 2009 Winter State Championship Competition.
The varsity team competed in the Southern Regional Championship Competition at Arundel High School on Thursday night. With rousing enthusiasm and crisp, precision routines the amazing squad out-shined the competition and earned the opportunity to advance to the Winter State Championship Competition.
There was no time for the energetic teens to rest on their laurels: the State Competition was held on Saturday, February 14th at North Point High School in Waldorf, Maryland. The LHS Varsity girls will go up against the top four winners from the Southern and Northern Regional Competitions.
This was the second time the Leonardtown Varsity Cheerleaders earned this opportunity. The Leonardtown Varsity Cheerleaders are coached by Donna Quade
