Margaret L. “Sally” Humenik, 80 of Hollywood, MD died May 18, 2006 in St. Mary’s Nursing Center. Born January 8, 1926 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of William Dent and Agnes Lillian Smith Hayden. She was preceded in death by her husband William Anthony Humenik, Sr. on January 13, 1998 in Leonardtown, MD whom she married on November 14, 1947 in Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by her children: Carol A. Nichalson of Great Mills, MD, Janet A. Molyneaux of Rochester, NY, William A. Humenik, Jr. of Kalispell, MT, Jerald James Humenik of Hollywood, MD and Dwayne D. Humenik of Salem, NJ; brothers and sisters: Ford Hayden, Bucky Smith, BeBe Woodburn and Betsy Carter all of Callaway, MD; grandchildren: Lisa Walkup of Webster, NY, Tony Humenik of Elmendorf, AL, Brandon Nichalson and Ashley Nichalson both of Great Mills, MD, Jessica Humenik and Bethany Humenik both of Salem, NJ; great grandchildren: Reese Humenik and Emily Humenik both of Elmendorf, AL and Ana Walkup of Webster, NY. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Polly Smith, Teresa Hayden, Tom Hayden, Dick Hayden, Fran Raley and Jimmy Smith and grandsons: Frank Molyneaux and Joel Humenik. Sally was a life long St. Mary’s County resident where she worked as a home health aide from 1955 â?? 1984. She also worked as a business owner/operator from 1985 – 1998 until her retirement in 1992. The family received friends on Monday, May 22, 2006 in Holy Face Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in Holy Face Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Sileo of Holy Face Catholic Church officiating and Fr. Kevin O’Rielly co-officiating of St. Bernadines Catholic Church, Suitland, MD formerly of Holy Face Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were William “Bill” Humenik, Jerry Humenik, Dwayne Humenik, Jeff Nichalson, Brandon Nichalson and Gary Molyneaux.
