On December 26, 2013, deputies responded to a residence in the Fox Chase Apartment Complex for a possible domestic disturbance.
Neighbors reported hearing loud screaming coming from one of the apartments in the minutes prior to the deputy’s arrival. When deputies attempted to make contact with persons at that apartment they received no answer.
Deputies made entry into the apartment and found that the victim was inside the bathroom with a small child, while suspect Larry Matthew Thomas, 29, of Lexington Park, was sitting in the bedroom.
The victim alleged the suspect became out of control during an argument causing the victim to seek refuge in the bathroom with the child. The suspect refused to allow the victim out of the room to make contact with the deputies who the victim could hear outside.
Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with False Imprisonment.
