At 11:49 p.m. Aug. 24, Charles County Sheriff’s Officer Christian observed a white 1994 Chrysler sedan traveling east on Berry Road in Waldorf at a high rate of speed.
He broadcast a description of the vehicle, turned around and attempted to locate and stop it. Officer M. Thompson was nearby and observed the vehicle on Berry Road near Marsh Hawk Drive and activated his emergency equipment.
The Chrysler stopped in a parking lot where the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward Snow Owl Court. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Officers have identified the suspect as a 26-year-old Fort Washington man. Their investigation is continuing.
