At 1:30 p.m. March 23, TFC F. Dolinger of the Leonardtown trooper barrack responded to the Loveville MVA for a reported fraudulent driver’s license.
Contact was made with a MVA employee who advised that Isaac Romos De La Cruz, 26, of Lexington Park, had come in trying to buy insurance for his vehicle.
On inspection of the presented license, the employee notice several clues that the license was fraudulent.
De La Cruz stated he paid $700 to a subject in Largo for the license.
De La Cruz was arrested and charged with Possessing/Displaying a fictitious or fraudulently altered government identification document.
Because De La Cruz had no fixed address or positive identification, his fingerprints were sent to the FBI. The fingerprints came back verifying that De La Cruz did provide correct identification.
He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
