MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH VANDALISM TO BUSINESS COMPUTER: On October 27 at about 10:30 a.m., Marc Christopher Brown, Jr., 22, of Brandywine entered a department store in Waldorf and began tampering with a computer used by people seeking employment.
An employee observed Brown and inquired as to what he was doing. Brown indicated he was hired to fix the computer.
As the employee attempted to verify the information, Brown left the store. It is not clear why Brown was tampering with the computer.
Investigators identified Brown and a criminal summons charging Brown with the destruction of property was issued by a District Court Commissioner.
Further investigation revealed Brown was unable to retrieve any personal data. Det. S. Webster is investigating.
