On Friday, October 29, at 1:07 a.m., TFC E. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet Impala in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Old Flora Corner Road for a traffic violation.
Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, Peter Thomas Morawski, 26 of Buffalo, New York, TFC Evans detected the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from Morawski’s breath. Morawski was asked to exit the vehicle to perform standardized field sobriety, in doing so, TFC Evans observed in plain view CDS Paraphernalia.
Morawski was subsequently arrested, with a search incident to arrest also revealing marijuana in the vehicle. Morawski was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged accordingly. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
