On November 27, 2010 at 1:44 p.m., Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann responded to the 21000 block of North Shangri La Drive in Lexington Park for a reported theft from vehicle.
Information disseminated by the Emergency Communications Center included a description of two male subjects and information that a paint sprayer had been stolen from a work van. Upon arrival, two subjects were located matching the description provided. Information provided by witnesses as well as a positive identification of the item by its owner resulted in the arrest of Richard Larry Bassford, 36, of Hollywood and Keith Randall Nelson, 36, of Avenue.
Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The property was returned to its rightful owner.
