On Friday, February 3, 2012 at 3:17pm, TFC G. A. Thompson responded to the area of Maryland Route 4 and Maryland Route 235 to assist Sgt. J. L. Linger with a probable cause search of a vehicle. Upon arrival, Sgt. Linger informed TFC Thompson of the cause for the stop, and that upon making contact with the occupants he detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. TFC Thompson had the passenger of the vehicle, Dennis Alverna Mack, Jr., 28, of Middle River exit the vehicle for a probable cause search. The search revealed CDS on Mr. Mack as well as CDS Paraphernalia in the vehicle. Mr. Mack was subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary’s CountyDetentionCenter and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
