GREAT MILLS, Md. – Police, fire and rescue personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on Chancellors Run Road.
Multiple calls were received by the department of emergency services advising of a vehicle off the roadway on Chancellors Run Road in the area of Robinson Court.
Upon a 7:35 a.m., dispatch fire and rescue personnel from Bay District Company’s 3 and 9 along with personnel from Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad and St. Mary’s Advanced Life Support responded.
Units arrived at 7:39 a.m., it was determined the single occupant was indeed trapped and a door removal was required to access patient. Minutes later the patient was extricate and accessed for injuries and was transported to the Maryland state police aviation hanger for transport to a trauma center.
At 7:51 a.m., the Chancellors Run Road command was terminated and all units returned to service.
