Lusby, MD – The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 16 that two reported assault incidents that reportedly occurred in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates subdivision of Lusby earlier in the week never occurred. A series of press dispatches from the sheriff’s office confirm that Monday, Nov. 14 agency patrol personnel “responded to Rousby Hall Road near the intersection of Olivet Road in Lusby for the report of a serious assault. The alleged victim was transported to a medical facility where he was evaluated.” Medical personnel found the alleged victim had no injuries. Sheriff’s office detectives conducted an “extensive investigation” and determined “the incident never occurred,” a sheriff’s office press release stated.
A second alleged assault was reported Nov. 15 and was also deemed to be a hoax. “The juvenile in this case is being charged with giving the false report,” the press release stated.
