Calvert County’s Second Annual Restaurant Week has been declared a success. According to Joyce Stinnett Baki of the Department of Economic Development, over 350 comment cards were submitted by customers eating at the participating restaurants.
“We let the restaurants know about the comments,” said Baki, who explained customers who provide their names on the comment forms are eligible for the grand prize drawing.
The name was drawn at the Tuesday, March 18 meeting of the Calvert County Commissioners. Commissioner Steven R. Weems [R] reached into the basket filled with names and announced the winner. And the huge basket filled with Calvert County merchandise is Debbie Bohle.
This year, 28 restaurants all over Calvert County participated in Restaurant Week, which was held from Feb. 23 to March 2. Restaurant Week is a national promotion designed to stimulate business countywide.
