The second annual Maryland Hunting and Outdoor Expo – held Aug. 16 and 17 at the Charles County Fairgrounds – has something for outdoorsmen of all ages and interests. The largest event of its kind in the state, the Expo welcomed thousands of visitors in its first year and three times as many are expected to pour through the gates this year.
Come out and learn waterfowl secrets from the Duck Commander Phil Robertson, participate in “The Bowhunters Challenge” 3D archery tournament or stand in awe as Tim Bradley of Team Benelli puts on a jaw-dropping exhibition of master sharp-shooting. You can also test drive an ATV from Trumbull Motorsports, see Bill Crutchfield’s Maryland-record 28-point whitetail or have your own trophy scored for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources trophy deer contest.
And don’t forget to bring the kids. There will be a youth archery clinic, live raptors including a bald eagle, 20-foot tall inflatable deer head, a gem mining station, a rock climbing wall, a petting zoo, chainsaw carving and the 56-foot Kongo Crazy inflatable slide.
