At 11:24 a.m. today, Mollie Rea McKay, 82 of Valley Lee, was operating a 2000 Ford 4 door sedan and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of White Oak Parkway at Wildewood Blvd. in California.
Mrs. McKay stopped at the stop sign but failed to yield the right of way to Denwood Alvin Grube, 29 of California.
Grube was operating a 1988 Chevrolet Truck towing a trailer. Grube’s vehicle struck McKay’s vehicle in the right side passenger door.
Volunteer firefighters worked to free from the vehicle Roland Reese McKay, 82, the front seat passenger. He was flown from the scene to Baltimore Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police Trooper 7.
The accident is being investigated by Dfc. Angela Muller.
