On Oct. 23, Bureau of Criminal Investigations detectives arrested Phillip Michael Parsons for failing to re-register as a sex offender.
Parsons, 47 of Mechanicsville, was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on his own recognizance.
Registered sex offenders are required to register bi-annually, and Parsons failed to re-register within five days of his registration date.
