Sharon Marie Norsworthy, 65, of Lexington Park, MD passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Hospice House of St. Mary’s in Callaway, MD.

She was born on June 9, 1956 in Washington, DC to the late Samuel Henry Craddock Jr. and Wylodean Kelly Craddock.

She owned a hobby and antiques shop at the Charlotte Hall Farmers Market for many years and met some of her best friends there and local business owners. She was a “Jane of all Trades”; she could restore and repair just about anything that needed it. She saw the world with the vision that “all things old could be made new again.”

Her shop was called ‘Now and Then’. She enjoyed bartering and attending estate sales and auctions. She always looked for the best deals.

She also worked for the Department of Defense as an Administrative Specialist, beginning her career in Alexandria, Virginia and retiring from the Patuxent River Naval Base. She won many awards for her dedication and support of the United States Army and again to the United States Navy in her time of Civil Service.

When she was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma she enjoyed visiting the local thrift shops and each one would save the best wigs for her. They looked forward to her coming in to look through the basket of donated wigs.

Mom looked good in any wig but when her hair grew back, it was the most beautiful platinum color. She got compliments from everyone. She was the happiest when getting dressed for the day, matching head to toe with her makeup just perfect. Her blue eyes were the brightest towards her last days. She was so happy to see visitors and listen to one of her favorite songs, “Wind beneath my wings” by Bette Middler from the 1988 movie, Beaches.

Her Christian faith was one she cherished personally and she kept close to her heart.

Sharon is survived by her son, Francis A. Showalter Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD and her daughter, Tammy Lynn Showalter of Lexington Park, MD, her brother Samuel Lee Craddock (Patricia) of Milton, DE, her two half-brothers Alex Craddock (Lori) and Eric Craddock (Tammy) and many nieces and nephews, cousins and her dog Hunter and grand puppy Bella. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother Frederick Warren and her half-sister Judi Townsend.

Memorial donations maybe made to Hospice House of St. Mary’s, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
