The St. Mary’s County Public School System is pleased to announce countywide prekindergarten roundups to screen children to determine eligibility for school year 2012 – 2013. All schools will hold prekindergarten roundups on Friday, April 27, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon and on Friday, May 18, 2012, from 12:00 noon – 2:30 p.m. The goal of the prekindergarten program is to provide initial learning experiences to help children develop basic skills and concepts necessary for successful school performance.
