St. Mary’s College sophomore guard Tyson Lesesne (Edgewood, MD/Edgewood) has been named as the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of December 11.
Lesesne scored 34 points on 10-of-18 (55.6 %) shooting from the field in leading the Seahawks to their win over Averett on Saturday. Lesesne connected on 7-12 (58.3 %) three-point attempts and was also 7-10 from the foul line in leading the Seahawks to their fifth victory of the season. He also recorded five rebounds and five assists in the contest.
On the season, Lesesne is leading the team in scoring at 24.1 points per game.The St. Mary’s College men’s basketball team will return to action on Thursday, December 15, when they travel to Davidson College (D-I) for a non-conference contest. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
