A public lecture, “The Politics of Race and Shopping: An Archaeology of Consumer Culture and the Color Line,” will be given by Paul Mullins, of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, on Oct. 20 from 4:45 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Cole Cinema, Campus Center (18952 E. Fisher Road, St. Mary’s City, MD 20686).
