On Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 12:22am, TFC N. E. Gresko was on patrol behind a black Honda Civic when he observed the operator discard an item out of the vehicle. TFC Gresko conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of the Burger King on Maryland Route 246. Upon making contact with the operator, Christian Taylor Chism, 20, of Leonardtown, TFC Gresko was informed that the item thrown from the vehicle was trash. Mr. Chism was asked to exit the vehicle where TFC Gresko was able to conduct a roadside interview. Information provided by Mr. Chism resulted in the search of the vehicle. The search revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia in the center console of the vehicle. Mr. Chism was placed under arrest for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
