On July 23, just before 2:30 a.m., TFC S. Murphy was traveling eastbound on state Route 227, east of state Route 210 when he stopped Frederick Leon Grant, 30 of White Plains, for a traffic violation.
A check through MVA/MILES/CIC revealed the tags on the vehicle were reported stolen through the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. The check also revealed there were two open warrants on Grant through the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Grant was charged with theft of two Maryland registration plates.
